Carries a digital audio bitstream over a 75-ohm RCA coaxial connection between Blu-ray players, AV receivers, and soundbars. Uses an RCA connector identical in appearance to analog audio cables, but requires 75-ohm impedance for reliable digital transmission.

Notes & Compatibility
Buy a cable labeled 'digital coaxial' or '75-ohm' — not a standard analog RCA cable. At 1m many analog cables work; at 3m+ impedance mismatch causes problems. Blue Jeans Cable, Monoprice, and AudioQuest make reliable 75-ohm S/PDIF cables. Do not use composite video RCA cables (yellow) — they may be 75 ohm but are not tested for digital audio.
