Framework's 16-inch modular laptop uses six user-swappable expansion card slots instead of fixed ports, letting owners choose their own connectivity mix. Two of the six slots (positions 1 and 4) support USB4 at 40 Gbps with DisplayPort Alt Mode; the remaining four slots support USB 3.2 Gen 2. The AMD Ryzen 7040 platform does not support Thunderbolt.
