Adam Audio A7V (2021)

ADAM Audio's A7V is a 7-inch active monitor built around the brand's X-ART ribbon tweeter. Each cabinet is self-powered and accepts a line-level feed through two analog inputs you select between with a rear switch: a balanced 3-pin XLR (9 kOhm) and an unbalanced RCA phono pair (3.3 kOhm), both handling up to +19 dBu. A rear Ethernet jack is for ADAM's A Control DSP software, not audio. Connect the XLR to a pro interface or the RCA to a consumer source; each speaker needs its own cable.

7-inch active monitor with switch-selectable balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, plus an A-Control network jack.

Notes & Compatibility

Active near-field monitor; ports are per-cabinet. Rear input-select switch chooses between the balanced XLR and the unbalanced RCA pair (don’t drive both at once). A rear RJ-45 Ethernet port connects to ADAM’s A Control DSP software — kept in prose because the exact Ethernet speed tier is unconfirmed (likely 100BASE-TX). AC mains via IEC inlet (prose).
