Apple's 2024 11-inch iPad Air runs the M2 chip and uses a single USB-C port operating at USB 3 speed — up to 10 Gb/s, the same as the M1 Air it replaces — with DisplayPort Alt Mode for one external display up to 6K@60Hz. The same port handles 20W USB-C PD charging. A 3-pin Smart Connector on the back contacts a Magic Keyboard or the new aluminium Magic Keyboard for iPad Air. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack, no Thunderbolt, and no microSD — wired audio needs a USB-C dongle.
Apple’s 2024 11″ iPad Air with M2, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port (10 Gb/s, DP Alt Mode, 20W charging) and a 3-pin Smart Connector.
