The M2 Pro version of Apple's mini doubles the Thunderbolt count to four (USB-C) and upgrades the display port to true HDMI 2.1, capable of 4K@240Hz or 8K@60Hz — a real gain over the base model's HDMI 2.0. Two USB-A ports run at USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gb/s), and the Gigabit Ethernet jack can be ordered as 10Gb. A 3.5mm headphone jack rounds out the rear. The four Thunderbolt 4 ports each carry video, data and power for downstream gear.
