Notes & Compatibility
USB-C connector runs USB 2.0 protocol. Separate (non-combo) mic XLR and instrument 1/4″ inputs — distinct from the 2i2’s combo design. Needs 900mA of USB bus power, and Focusrite says to connect it straight to the computer, not through a hub. The box has a USB-C to USB-A cable, so a USB-C-only laptop needs a USB-C to USB-C cable. The front 1/4″ input takes line or instrument level via the Inst switch; the rear XLR is mic-only and is the only input with Air, whose Presence & Drive setting works up to 96kHz. The 1/4″ TRS headphone jack needs a 6.35mm-to-3.5mm adapter for most earbuds, and TRRS plugs may not work properly.
