Genelec's compact 5" two-way active monitor is a long-running studio reference, refreshed in 2018 with the 'C' generation Class-D amplification (50W LF + 50W HF), a Directivity Control Waveguide for stable off-axis response, and Iso-Pod desktop isolation. Connectivity is deliberately minimal: a single XLR 3-pin balanced input (10 kΩ) handles the analog signal, and a universal-voltage IEC C14 mains inlet (100-240V) makes it travel-friendly. There is no AES/EBU digital input on the 8030C — that is reserved for the matching 8330A SAM model. Rear DIP switches handle room and bass roll-off compensation.
