JBL's 305P MkII is a 5-inch powered monitor and one of the most popular budget studio speakers. It's an active design, so each cabinet amplifies its own signal from a line-level input; you get two balanced choices on the rear, a 3-pin XLR and a 1/4-inch TRS jack, with a +4 dBu / -10 dBV sensitivity switch to match pro or consumer gear. Use one input at a time, not both. There's no RCA or 3.5mm input, so a phone or TV needs an interface or DAC in between.
5-inch active studio monitor with balanced XLR and 1/4-inch TRS inputs and a +4dBu/-10dBV sensitivity switch.

Active near-field monitor; ports are per-cabinet. Rear balanced XLR and 1/4″ TRS inputs (use one at a time). +4dBu/-10dBV input-sensitivity switch and volume trim are controls, not ports. No RCA input despite some review claims — owner’s manual lists XLR and TRS only. AC mains via IEC inlet (prose).
