LG OLED B8 55-65″ OLED (2018)

This older OLED generation offers pixel-perfect contrast and black levels, but needs a modern receiver for gaming. All HDMI ports run at 2.0 spec, maxing out at 4K@60Hz — high refresh gaming is off the table here. Optical output works with any Dolby Digital soundbar for 5.1 surround. Here's every port and the cables you'll need.

2018 LG entry-level OLED B8 with α7 Intelligent Processor. HDMI 2.0 only.

Notes & Compatibility

HDMI: 4x HDMI 2.0b (4K@60Hz, HDCP 2.2). ARC: HDMI 2. USB: 3x USB 2.0 Type-A. HDMI 2 carries ARC, not eARC, and eARC is an HDMI 2.1 feature these 2.0b inputs do not have: lossless Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD will not travel back out of the TV to a soundbar. Run a disc player or console into the bar or receiver first and let the TV take the picture. All four inputs being 2.0b also means no VRR, no ALLM and no 4K@120Hz here, whatever cable you buy. The 3.5mm socket is an analogue line out that doubles as a headphone jack. The three USB 2.0 ports are for media playback.
