The ARM-based Surface Pro 9 5G uses a Microsoft SQ3 chip (Qualcomm-derived) and trades Thunderbolt 4 for plain USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 — both ports still charge and drive external displays via DisplayPort Alt Mode, but they cap at 10Gbps data. Sub-6 / mmWave cellular is the headline feature; a nano-SIM tray sits next to the SSD bay. Like the Intel Pro 9, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack and no microSD slot. Surface Connect at the right edge remains for magnetic charging and dock data.
ARM-based Surface Pro 9 with 5G, SQ3 chip, 2x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (no Thunderbolt), Surface Connect, nano-SIM slot.
