PreSonus's Eris E3.5 is a compact 3.5-inch active desktop monitor aimed at media and entry-level production, and it's the most input-flexible speaker in this group. The left (active) cabinet carries rear balanced 1/4-inch TRS inputs and unbalanced RCA inputs, a front 3.5mm aux input for phones and laptops, and a front 3.5mm headphone output that auto-mutes the speakers when used. That mix lets you wire a pro interface, a turntable preamp, and a phone all at once. The right speaker is passive and connects to the left via speaker wire.
