The Q2U is a handheld dynamic microphone with dual outputs: a USB connection for plugging straight into a computer and a male XLR output for connecting to a traditional mixer or interface, both usable at once. Note the USB connector is the older Mini-B size, not USB-C — so you need a Mini-B cable, not a modern USB-C lead. A 3.5mm headphone jack provides zero-latency monitoring of the USB signal. To run it digitally you need a USB Mini-B cable; to run it analog you need a standard XLR cable.
Samson’s dynamic mic with both a USB Mini-B digital output and a male 3-pin XLR analog output, plus a 3.5mm monitor jack.
