The original 2020 SSL 2 is a 2-in/2-out USB-C interface built around two SSL mic preamps with a Legacy 4K analogue colour switch and 32-bit/192kHz converters. It is fully USB 2.0 bus-powered through its USB-C port. Two rear Neutrik combo XLR/TRS inputs handle mics, line, and instruments, while a pair of balanced 1/4-inch monitor outputs and a single front 1/4-inch headphone jack cover playback. Unlike the SSL 2+, this base model has no MIDI and one headphone output.
Solid State Logic’s original 2×2 USB-C interface with two combo XLR/TRS inputs, balanced 1/4-inch monitor outs, and a single headphone jack.

Notes & Compatibility
Original 2020 SSL 2 (2×2), USB 2.0 bus-powered, with the Legacy 4K analogue enhancement switch. Distinct from the SSL 2+ (which adds a second headphone out, RCA outputs, and 5-pin DIN MIDI) and from the later SSL 2 MKII. Full brand kept in the title to avoid a slug collision with the existing SSL 2+ record. This base model has no MIDI and a single headphone output.
