Sony A7R V (2022)

Sony's 61MP A7R V keeps the full-size HDMI Type A port introduced on the A7S III — far more secure than a micro HDMI for external monitors and recorders. The USB-C port runs at 10Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 2), enabling fast tethered transfer of high-resolution RAW files. Dual card slots accept either CFexpress Type A or SD UHS-II in each bay, and both 3.5mm mic and headphone jacks are present. Sony also kept the proprietary Multi Terminal for wired releases and Sony control accessories.

61MP full-frame mirrorless with full-size HDMI, USB-C 10Gbps, dual CFexpress Type A / SD UHS-II combo slots, and 3.5mm audio.

Notes & Compatibility

Released December 2022. Full-size HDMI Type A (HDMI 2.0b; 4K 60p 10-bit out; 16-bit RAW out to compatible external recorders). USB-C is USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps). Sony Multi Terminal (proprietary, Micro-B-derived 15-pin) and PC Sync flash terminal intentionally omitted as discrete ports — no approved connector entries. Dual card slots are SD UHS-II + CFexpress Type A combo (one CFexpress Type A modeled as standard SD UHS-II since both physical slots accept SD).
