Sony HT-A5000 (2021)

A 5.1.2-channel Dolby Atmos soundbar that sits just below Sony's flagship HT-A7000. Its single HDMI input is full HDMI 2.1 with 8K@60Hz, 4K@120Hz and Dolby Vision passthrough — valuable if your TV is short on 2.1 ports. Unlike the A7000, there is no analog aux input and no Ethernet jack, so wired sources are limited to HDMI and optical. The 3.5mm S-Center Out lets a compatible Bravia TV act as the system's center channel.

Sony’s 5.1.2ch Atmos soundbar with HDMI 2.1 eARC out, one 8K/4K120 passthrough input, optical in, and S-Center out.

Notes & Compatibility

Both HDMI jacks support 8K@60Hz / 4K@120Hz passthrough with Dolby Vision, VRR and ALLM (HDCP 2.3). No Ethernet (Wi-Fi/Chromecast/AirPlay 2 built in) and no analog aux input — the A5000 drops the HT-A7000’s 3.5mm input. Optional wireless subwoofer and rear speakers pair wirelessly. S-Center Out works only with compatible Sony Bravia TVs.
