The STR-DH790 is Sony's entry 7.2-channel A/V receiver — a budget option that still ships with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X decoding plus 4K HDR + Dolby Vision passthrough on every HDMI input. Four HDMI 2.0b inputs feed a single HDMI 2.0b output with eARC, four stereo RCA inputs cover legacy sources, and there is one optical and one coaxial S/PDIF input. Two mono RCA subwoofer pre-outs allow a dual-sub setup, and a 6.35 mm headphone jack and 3.5 mm D.C.A.C. setup-mic input are on the front panel. There is NO Ethernet, NO Wi-Fi and NO phono input — networking is Bluetooth-only.

Two mono RCA sub pre-outs allow stereo / dual-sub setup. Headphone jack on the front is 6.35 mm (1/4″). D.C.A.C. setup-mic input on the front is 3.5 mm TRS. Front USB Type-A is USB 2.0 power-only (no media playback). FM antenna input is the 75-ohm coaxial F-connector (RF Antenna Input). NO Ethernet, NO Wi-Fi, NO phono input (a turntable needs an external phono preamp). Speaker binding posts (7-channel) are omitted (not in approved connector list). Power inlet on the rear panel is a fixed 2-prong AC mains cord — no IEC inlet, omitted; flagged for manual review if ever exposed as a connector.
