Analogue's 2019 Mega Sg is an FPGA reimplementation of the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive that outputs cleanly over HDMI up to 1080p60 with 48kHz digital audio, no analog mod required. An optional 3.5mm stereo jack on the front provides analog audio, and the console is powered by a standard Micro-USB cable rather than a proprietary brick. Two original Genesis-style DE-9 controller ports accept period pads or the co-designed 8BitDo M30. It plays original Genesis, Mega Drive and Master System cartridges via the slot and included adapter.

Notes & Compatibility
HDMI output is capped at 1080p60 (with 48kHz/16-bit digital audio), so it is modeled at the HDMI 1.4 tier that matches its bandwidth. Optional 3.5mm stereo analog audio jack on the front. Powered over Micro-USB (5V, modeled as USB Micro-B 2.0). Two original DE-9 Genesis/Mega Drive controller ports. Cartridge slot and Sega CD bottom edge-connector are direct-insertion/bus interfaces (not modeled).
