Lenovo ThinkStation P3 Tiny (2023)

Lenovo's 1-litre workstation puts HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 on the back as standard, with six USB-A ports split between 10Gbps and 5Gbps tiers and a single Gigabit RJ-45. The front USB-C is 10Gbps data only — no charging, no video. There is no Thunderbolt port on the standard machine: TB4 exists solely as a PCIe add-in card that takes the one expansion slot, so choosing it means giving up the discrete GPU. Two rear punch-out bays add VGA, DisplayPort, serial or a second RJ-45.

Intel 13th-gen 1-litre workstation with HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, six USB-A ports, Gigabit RJ-45 and two configurable punch-out bays.

Notes & Compatibility

Intel Q670 chipset, 13th/14th-gen Core i3-i9 up to 24 cores. Machine type 30H0; now withdrawn and superseded by the P3 Tiny Gen 2. The list below is the STANDARD configuration. THUNDERBOLT: there is no native TB4 port — Thunderbolt 4 is available only via a PCIe adapter card that occupies the single PCIe 4.0 x8 low-profile slot, making it mutually exclusive with a discrete GPU. CONFIGURABLE: two rear punch-out bays each take one of VGA / DisplayPort / HDMI / serial, with bay 1 also offering USB-C 5Gbps (with DisplayPort and USB PD 3.0) and bay 2 also offering RJ-45; alternatively they can host 2x or 4x additional USB-A 5Gbps ports on shared bandwidth. A second NIC (Intel I350-T2/T4, Broadcom BCM5720/BCM5719, or Realtek RTL8125BGS 2.5GbE) is a PCIe option, again mutually exclusive with a GPU. Optional NVIDIA T400/T1000/RTX A400/RTX A1000 cards output 3-4x Mini DisplayPort 1.4 — a different connector from the motherboard’s full-size DisplayPort — and allow up to six displays in total. Audio is a Realtek ALC256VB codec with a single front combo jack; no separate line-out. Powered by an external 170W, 230W or 300W DC brick, not an internal PSU — no IEC mains inlet, and the barrel inlet is not modeled.
