The 2020 Surface Pro X refresh uses a Microsoft SQ2 ARM chip and was the first Surface Pro to ditch USB-A entirely — connectivity is two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports (10Gbps, DisplayPort Alt Mode, charging) plus the magnetic Surface Connect port. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack, no microSD slot, and no Thunderbolt — ARM Windows on Snapdragon-derived silicon kept TB out of reach. A nano-SIM tray sits beside the removable SSD bay for LTE service.
ARM Surface Pro X 2020 refresh: 2x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (no Thunderbolt), Surface Connect, nano-SIM, no headphone jack.
