Sony's mid-generation refresh of the PS4 added a second GPU pipeline for 4K HDR gaming and bumped the HDMI output to HDMI 2.0b with HDCP 2.2. The rear panel hosts the HDMI out, a Gigabit Ethernet port, an optical S/PDIF (TOSLINK) digital audio output, a power inlet, and one USB 3.1 Gen 1 port; two more USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports sit on the front for controllers. The PS4 Pro is the only PS4 variant that retains the rear optical jack — the later PS4 Slim dropped it.

Notes & Compatibility
PS4 Pro is the only PS4 hardware revision that retains the rear optical TOSLINK output (removed on the later PS4 Slim and Standard CUH-2000+ revisions). Three USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5Gbps) Type-A ports: two front-facing for controllers, one rear. The rear AUX port is a proprietary connector for the PlayStation Camera (PSVR setup) and is intentionally not modeled as a discrete cable port.
