Sega's 1994 mushroom-shaped add-on plugs into the Genesis cartridge slot to bolt on 32-bit processing power. Video runs out through the 32X's own 9-pin mini-DIN A/V multi-out (composite and stereo) after mixing the host Genesis signal passed up through a short jumper cable. Like the Genesis Model 2, the 32X has no RF modulator, so composite or an external RF converter is the route to a TV. A separate proprietary DC barrel inlet takes its own MK-2103 power brick, meaning a fully expanded tower needs two power supplies.

Notes & Compatibility
All of the 32X’s external connectors fall outside the Cablebabe palette, so none are modeled here and everything is described in prose. Video output is Sega’s 9-pin mini-DIN A/V multi-out (composite + stereo — same connector as the Genesis Model 2/Nomad/CDX; candidate palette addition ‘Sega 9-pin Mini-DIN A/V’). A short jumper/crossover cable passes the host Genesis video up into the 32X (console-to-console link, not user cabling). Proprietary 9V/10V DC barrel power inlet (MK-2103). Cartridge slot is direct-insertion. NEEDS PALETTE ADDITION before ports can be attached — flagged for a mode=update re-import once the mini-DIN connector exists.
