The launch PS5 Digital Edition sends 4K at up to 120Hz with VRR over a single HDMI 2.1 output, so the TV needs HDMI 2.1 too. On the front are a 10Gbps USB-C port (the one PS VR2 must use) and a USB 2.0 Type-A; on the back, two 10Gbps USB-A ports for an external drive, plus Gigabit Ethernet. There's no optical output, and no disc drive can be added later. Here's the complete port breakdown.
All-digital version of PS5 without disc drive. Identical performance with HDMI 2.1 for 4K@120Hz gaming, custom SSD, ray tracing, and 3D audio. Cannot attach disc drive later (unlike Slim).
