Rega Planar 3 (2016)

Rega's fifth-generation Planar 3 is the company's biggest redesign of the iconic 'Three' since the platform began, with a new RB330 tonearm and a 24V AC synchronous motor. Output is phono-level only — there is no built-in preamp and no PHONO/LINE switch, so the integrated low-capacitance phono cable with Neutrik plugs must connect to a moving-magnet phono stage or to the phono input on a receiver. The cable is bonded to the plinth (it is not user-replaceable) and a separate ground wire is supplied for the connection to the phono stage. The Planar 3 is also compatible with Rega's optional Neo PSU upgrade for electronic speed change.

Rega’s 5th-gen audiophile turntable with phono-level RCA output, RB330 tonearm, and Neo PSU compatibility — no built-in preamp.
